1. About This Platform
Brightlife Advisor is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that provides independent financial advisors with tools to manage client relationships, build a branded public profile page, gather client information, and facilitate life insurance applications. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
2. No Affiliation with Insurance Companies
Brightlife Advisor is an independent technology company. We do not issue, underwrite, sell, or endorse any insurance product. Any insurance products, services, or credentials appearing on an advisor's public page are solely the advisor's own and do not represent Brightlife Advisor in any way. Clients and prospective clients should independently verify an advisor's licensing and credentials before entering into any insurance arrangement.
3. Advisor Responsibilities
As an advisor, you are solely and exclusively responsible for:
- All content published on your public profile — including your bio, products and services listed, achievements and credentials displayed, and any images you upload
- The accuracy, completeness, legality, and appropriateness of everything you publish
- Holding all required licenses, registrations, and regulatory approvals to offer the financial products or services you advertise
- All client relationships managed through the Platform, including the collection, use, storage, and protection of client information
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including data privacy laws (such as the Data Privacy Act of the Philippines or equivalent legislation)
- Any business decisions, outcomes, or disputes arising from your use of the Platform
Brightlife Advisor provides technology infrastructure only. The Platform takes no responsibility for the advice given, products sold, or representations made by any advisor to any client.
4. Client Data & Privacy
Advisors collect personal information from clients through this Platform — including names, contact details, dates of birth, health information, and financial details. As the party collecting this data, the advisor acts as the data controller and is responsible for:
- Obtaining proper and informed consent from clients before collecting their personal information
- Handling and storing client data in compliance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws
- Clearly informing clients about how their data will be used, stored, and shared
- Responding promptly and appropriately to any client data requests or complaints
Brightlife Advisor stores this data on behalf of advisors as a data processor. We do not sell, share, or use client data for any purpose outside of operating the Platform.
5. Client Account Deletion
Clients have the right to permanently delete their account and all associated personal data from the Platform at any time. Upon a valid deletion request:
- All personal information, health history, application data, and account credentials will be permanently removed
- This action is irreversible — deleted data cannot be recovered
- The client's records will no longer be accessible to the advisor
Advisors should be aware that client-initiated account deletion will remove records from the advisor's dashboard. Advisors are encouraged to maintain their own records in compliance with applicable record-keeping obligations.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Platform to publish false, misleading, or deceptive content; collect client data without proper disclosure or consent; violate any applicable laws or regulations; infringe on third-party intellectual property rights; or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRIGHTLIFE ADVISOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR: any content published by advisors; any business decisions or outcomes resulting from the use of the Platform; the accuracy of information provided by advisors to their clients; any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; or any data loss or breach resulting from an advisor's failure to maintain proper security practices. THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.
